Admission requirements

Admission Testing - Students are required to undergo an entrance examination, which is designed based on the level they wish to join. Montessori assessment differs from the traditional examination as they use a hands on approach.

Age Boundaries for Admission - Please note that the child’s age is also relevant when determining which year group to place the child. The entry age criteria for each year group is based on the child’s age.

Categories of Admission - A student is admitted to the relevant year based on their examination scores.

Admissions to Jaffery Academy involve a three-step process, designed to ensure that the applicant is a good match, and has a reasonable chance of academic success, given the high intellectual standards and academic expectations of an international school.

 

STEP 1Completion and submission of our school Application Form

The application form is available to the school for a minimum fee. Applications and must dropped off at the school admin office directly.

Kindly attach the following documents with the application form:

  • Previous Academic Records / most recent school report (including standardised examination records when these are available);
  • Copy of Child’s Birth Certificate
  • Copy of Child’s Passport or relevant ID (if applicable)
  • Two recent passport-sized photos

additional documents are required for international students

  • Students pass
  • Parents work & residence permits
  • Parents passport copies

Step 2 - Assessment

All applicants must be tested for academic aptitude and English language proficiency.

The testing varies according to age and may include written assessments.

 

Step 3 - Notification

The parents/ guardian of a student will be notified of the students scores, as well as the admission or rejection of the application.

They will then be guided on school policies and requirements to be fulfilled before the student starts school.
